East Kilbride Rotary Club

July 2007 seen the club take a big step forward when they decided to higher the Paddle Steamer Waverley in an endeavour to raise funds for our international Charity "Let us Shine" This was an extemely big venture for the club and their efforts were rewarded when they were able to hand over £7000 to the charity. The sail left the Glasgow Science centre around 7pm and returned around 11pm with a very happy group of passengers. A picture record is shown below

In Picture 4 we have Ian Wiseman serving the ladies with a Toddy !!!!

Picture 5 we have Liam & Carol Donnelly on the outward journey having gone under the Erskine bridge. Picture 6 shows some happy seafarers.

Picture 8 highlights the band that played for us on board, now in Picture 9 we have Liam Donnelly befriending Lynn Kilpatrick then moving on to 10 three East Kilbride Cronies namely Donnelly,Kilpatrick & Gunn. Picture 11 shows more seafarers enjoying the relaxed atmosphere with the last two pictures highlighting our nightime return.
